Inclusion Quality Mark
We began our journey with Inclusion Quality Mark in 2017 when we were awarded our first Inclusion Mark. We were then swiftly awarded with the status of ‘Centre of Excellence’ and we have continued to be reassessed by IQM every year since, providing that external scrutiny, challenge and validation of the standard of care and education we provide for our children.
In the summer of 2020, we moved from being a ‘Centre of Excellence’ to being a Flagship school in recognition of the teams hard work in making Meadowside an inclusive, welcoming school who care about every child achieving their potential. Only around 100 UK schools have achieved IQM Flagship School status and so we are incredibly proud of what this says about the education and care our school provides.
Our latest report says “It is clear from the review process that the staff at Meadowside Community Primary and Nursery School continue to be fully committed to inclusive education, with many areas of excellent practice. I therefore recommend that the school retains its Flagship Status and is reviewed again in 12 months’ time. I am confident their Flagship Project will continue to have a hugely positive impact on providing exceptional provision.”
