At Meadowside CP and Nursery School, we strive to support our children; young people; families and our staff with their Mental Health and Wellbeing.
This is at the heart of our school and together we can support each other through the highs and lows we experience throughout our lives.
Whether you’re feeling great and want to stay that way; feeling a bit fed up; or struggling to manage your feelings, we have a variety of links to information and tips to support everyone!
If you would like to speak to a member of our Welfare Team then please do not hesitate to contact school.

We are currently working closely with the Mental Health Support Team service to promote the early detection and prevention of mental health problems for children across the whole school, and strengthen links between schools and mental health services. Our lead practitioner, Rachel, and trainee practitioner, Hannah provided direct interventions to pupils with mild to moderate mental health conditions, such as anxiety, low mood or behavioural difficulties.

Children’s Mental Health and Wellbeing
Our Mental Health and Wellbeing Team at Meadowside try to work as closely as possible with parents to ensure that all children are happy, safe and settled at home and in school. We understand that, at times, this can be difficult to maintain, especially with how quickly life for a family can change.
We are there to support any children within school going through a difficult time in their lives through Nurture intervention and regular check-in’s from the Welfare Team.
We will often share links with parents to further support at home. These links can also be accessed by children independently to help them to gain a better understanding of their feelings and emotions.

Adult’s Mental Health and Wellbeing
We equilly understand how important it is for our parents, carers and guardians to ensure that their own mental health and wellbeing is looked after, just as much as their children’s. It can be challenging when supporting your child(ren) through a tricky time and is important that you not only look after them but look after yourself as well!
Our team is not only here to support the children, but to support the adults and families of our school too. Our Welfare Team is available to support whenever we can and can also signpost you to links for additional support at home.
Adults can also access the links above for support, please see some additional, helpful links below:
