Dear Parents, Carers, Visitors and Children,

I would like to welcome all of you to our Year 2 class page. I am really looking forward to this new academic year. I can not wait to explore some exciting and fun topics with you. I am also looking forward to working in partnership with all the adults and families to support every child to ensure they make the progress they are capable of.

Useful Information

• Homework will be given out every Friday, via class dojo and needs to be uploaded on your child's portfolio, at the latest, by the following Wednesday. Homework will include maths, spelling, topic and word warrior work.

• PE will be every Wednesday morning. Please ensure children have the correct PE kit in school.

• Reading at home is one of the most important things you can do to support your child with their learning. Please try to read with your child at least 3 times per week, asking them questions about what they have read to help them with their comprehension skills.  

• We ask that your child brings their reading book into school on a Monday and a Friday, so it can be changed. Please record all reading in their reading record.
  
  
• We ask that your child accesses Reading Eggs at home. Logins can be provided by contacting Miss Forster on dojo.
